People and Puppets is a tiny puppet theatre (only 40 seats) in the heart of Lviv, Ukraine. As the name suggests, actors interact with puppets on stage creating a unique experience for their audience. The repertoire is mainly for children, but they have a few performances for adults, including plays based on Dante and Shakespeare. Since 2015, People and Puppets have been hosting an annual international festival for puppet theaters.
Quite an unusual theatre needed a fresh look on their branding. I created a dynamic logo that represents puppets on the left side and people on the right. They constantly change and interact with each other, making 25 unique versions of a logo. Bright colors are used to create a playful communication with children.
